I believe that the godparent is Iossif Vasiliev Nechaev who would therefore be an uncle and new member of this family but I'm not sure of the profession and the godmother. 25 îêòÿáðÿ 2025 18:24 26 îêòÿáðÿ 2025 13:05 I have finally found the marriage record of Vasiliy Tikhomirov and Anna Semenova. Right there : Vasiliy x AnnaFrom what I understand, the marriage date is July 18, 1787. The typographer of the university printing house, Vasily Tikhomirov, married the daughter of the late typographer Semyon Andreyev, Miss Anna Semyonova. Both were entering into their first marriage, after the necessary formalities had been completed. Please feel free to correct me if I have made any errors or misunderstandings in my interpretation. automatic translation : Íàñêîëüêî ÿ ïîíèìàþ, äàòà áðàêà — 18 èþëÿ 1787 ãîäà. 2 äåêàáðÿ 2025 2:46 Hello,
I'm trying to find the marriage record of my grandmother who was from Blagodarny Village in Stavropol Krai.
The marriage wouldve been sometime between 1940 and 1946. I think it is likely that it would've been closer to 1946.
My grandfather was a Polish Jew who fled Poland for the USSR or who was forcibly transferred, we aren't sure. He was in a labour camp and then ended up in Blagodarny where he met my grandmother and her family.
I know they were married in Russia because i have repatriation of Poles to Poland from the USSR documents for both of them. Back then if she married him, she became a Polish citizen.
How would i find the marriage certificate? Would it be in a parish or would it be online? | | |

2 äåêàáðÿ 2025 5:34 >> Îòâåò íà ñîîáùåíèå ïîëüçîâàòåëÿ rhir87 îò 2 äåêàáðÿ 2025 2:46 If the couple married between 1940 and 1946, their marriage was a civil ceremony rather than a church wedding. The records for these marriages are kept at the local ZAGS (Civil Registry Office). You can find the contact details at the following link: https://gogov.ru/zags/srp/z97907 I recommend reaching out to them to inquire if the marriage record is available. Be sure to provide the names of the individuals and the place, and time frame of the marriage. If the record is available, you can request an official copy (this is a paid service). However, I am unsure if a duplicate of the marriage certificate can be issued since both individuals have passed away. To obtain the record, you will likely need to provide evidence of your relationship to them. This may include a copy of your birth certificate, your parent' birth certificate (those who were born to these individuals), and, if applicable, a copy of your mother’s marriage certificate to show any surname changes. If your surname has also changed due to marriage, you should include your marriage certificate as well. It is important to establish a clear line of connection from you to the individuals you are inquiring about. I suggest starting by sending them an email request in your language, along with a Google translation into Russian. Ask if the records are available and how a copy can be obtained. They will provide you with guidance on the next steps. --- Áåðäíèê, Ãðèáàíîâ- Âÿæíîâêà, Ñóðàæñêèé Ó, ×åðíèãîâñêàÿ ãóá.
