Hi, I am being ridiculously overly wishful again, He reminds me of a gentleman in another photograph which would have been taken perhaps ten years or even more in Russia, before this class photograph in Harbin was taken.
Clutching at straws I thought I'd ask if anyone knew the gentleman�s name rather than put out a comment where the answer would very unlikely be affirmed. I am always seeing similarities in people and then make stupid assumptions, Nevertheless I'll post the photograph. Taken from the very first page in Nina Schudnat�s photo album.

Definitely the same person. Unfortunately, the name of the man in the group photo is unknown.

Thank you so much for your reply. I was doubting myself but then the facial features are so siimilar and unusual. It was the unusal aspect that made me think.
I will possibly be able to track him down now. I have a feeling he could be an interesting person incuding his time in Harbin.

Do you have the name of the school? It would help me with reserach.
