| Pavel3233 : 6 2019 . : 1 | #11 2019 16:07 Maksim Andreevich : I can read Cyrillic, I can read names, dates, names of regiments, and battles. My Russian vocabulary is about 800 words, and I know simple tenses. I can translate Russian using dictionaries. I've already seen RGVIA biographies of some ancestors.I can write in simple Russian (present tense). Be aware that I know the full names birth dates, and death dates of all my military ancestors. I know their military ranks too. No problem there. What I need is for someone here to tell me the protocol for a foreign to enter RGVIA. Do I have to arrange a registration with them? Does RGVIA need to give me special permission? Who do I call? Also, I am told that RGVIA has a large library card catalogue in which visitors can look up family names. Is this true? If I can get the answers to these questions, I can proceed.
