Hello, I was rereading the family letters and finally I had a doubt about the translation of one of the letters.
Can someone translate this letter so I can verify the accuracy of the information?

Hello, there are a number of syntactical, grammatical and spelling errors in the letter, I translated the letter as I understood it, maybe someone will correct me if I made a mistake somewhere.

"Dear son, another man has arrived in our family. Last Friday Gene gave birth to a son, Clari and Tsipka and her fiance are now on bris (?? I don’t know what that means, maybe circumcision). I stayed with my grandmother, Clara won’t go there either, she will give birth to my dear Moses with me, how glad I am, God grant that it will be easy and soon for her (apparently to give birth). I really don’t know what else to write to you, everything is as it was, no changes. It’s not yet heard that we can see each other soon, it seems to me that it’s still a long way off, God grant that you can bear it without any harm. I received a letter from Pesi’s husband, he is being sent to Penza, he is feeling well. God bless you, your mother who always remembers you. B. Gurin"

I thank you. I did well to request a new translation. I'm having a little trouble understanding who exactly is doing what in this letter. We have "Gene" who undoubtedly referred to Genia, wife of Nuta/Natan Kostelansky. Tsipka (Gurin) the daughter of B(rocha) Gurin. “Grandma” must be Rachel. Clara (Gurin) sister of Tsipka. However, this is where it gets fuzzy because Moise is supposed to be Clara and Tsipka's brother, unless the person giving birth (who must be Genia?) has decided to name their son Moise. Pesi must refer to Pesha Kostelansky sister of Natan? I don't see anyone else whose first name is similar. Her husband's name I don't know.

I think that in fact she is addressing her son Moses (these letters come from Moses for the most part) so the sentence "she will give birth to my dear Moses with me" is perhaps written as follows: "she will give birth, my dear Moses, with me"?

If you don't mind I would like to request a translation of a few more letters. At least the last 2 are the sequel. This would undoubtedly help me to better understand the events.

I think this sentence confirms that it is Brocha Gurin who is speaking to his son Moise. Here she says "It’s not yet heard that we can see each other soon, it seems to me that it’s still a long way off". At that time, Moise was studying in Saint Petersburg, far from Warsaw. He returned to Warsaw afterwards around 1912. So there is this idea of I don't know when we will see each other again but it's still a long way off. So it must be 1910 in Warsaw.

Now it’s clear, that in this letter she meant: “she will give birth at my place (with author of the letter by her side), my dear Moses, how glad I am...” Thus, it was an appeal to Moses, and not the name of the unborn child.

That's what I thought. Too bad the child's name is not written.

I reread the rough translations of the letters I sent previously. I still have a doubt about who is giving birth, Genia or Clara? It should be Genia I think

Genia gave birth for sure.
But as for Clara there is some thought of mine - she was pregnant at that time and getting ready to give birth

And there is a proof of this - one of the letters says: "Clara stayed here to give birth (for the birth), may God grant her to endure (the birth) easily."

Here is the translation of 2 of 3 letters.

"My dear daughter,
I haven’t written to you for a long time because I feel bad in my heart, believe me, dear, I always think about you, but I don’t want to write.
Yesterday I received a letter from your husband, he is being sent to Penza, he writes that he feels well, I am very grateful to him for the letter. I often receive letters from Moses.
Clara stayed here to give birth (for the birth), may God grant her to endure (the birth) easily.
Yes, congratulations to you, Nathan had a son on May 20.
I haven’t received anything from Joseph for a long time and Boris also writes very rarely, or maybe they write and the letters get lost, now anything is possible.
Grandma is suffering a lot; she has not left her bed for several months now.
Oh my dear, why do I suffer so much, it seems I don’t deserve it.
There is nothing more to write about, I wish you all the best, I kiss you, B. Gurin.
Tsipka is healthy and having a good time."

"Dear son,
I haven’t received letters from you for several days now, God knows when I’ll receive it, it seems not soon.
Rest assured for us, nothing special happened, there is something to eat and it’s very quiet, as always. Just please don't be upset for us.
I received a letter and 25 rubles from Boris, but Joseph doesn’t write anything.
Clara’s daughter is very beautiful and Clara is healthy, thank God.
Grandma, as always, lies and torments herself.
And I have nothing more to write about, God grant that we will see each other again, I hope soon, otherwise my patience will run out.
God bless you, my darling, dear son, your mother B. Gurin."

Indeed, I'm starting to believe that Genia and Clara were pregnant at the same time and gave birth close to each other.
Clara's daughter, whose name is Kazimiera, was born in Warsaw on July 9, 1915. So I think that Genia's son was born on May 20, 1915 also in Warsaw because he was born in Brocha's house who lived in Warsaw. I hope that for this year there are birth certificates available. I'll look when I have a free moment.
Thanks for this help. Maybe this will allow me to find more things about the kostelanskys

edit : unfortunately, there is no file for 1915
