Sang is correct. Errors (903/913) are not unusual. What the card does NOT say: Aksinia is the wife of Ilya. The evidence is not clear. Michael is more likely the husband of Aksinia. Perhaps they married after 1909 but before 1918. Michael might have even died by 1918. I will have time to investigate later, not enough time today.

I find mostly the same as you have found.
These people all disappear from the records!
Perhaps familiar names were changed. They became unfamiliar names.
(see my note at the end of this message)
I searched for the 1918 location of Ilya in Herkimer County, New York State, USA
The distance away from Syracuse is greater than what I told you.
It is closer to 120 KM.

Do you have the ship manifest (immigration document) for Ilya?
Here is what I found for 1913.
There are several unusual and confusing pieces.
Maybe this is the correct person:
Name: Ilya Janzuk/Ilya Janczuk
From: Kusicze
Years: 30
Ship: Carpathia
Arrived in New York: 4 May 1913

Unusual fact #1: He is listed twice on the same immigration document (ship manifest)
One is crossed out (line drawn through).
The information is the same in both places.
Unusual fact #2: The ship manifest IS NOT found on the FamilySearch website.
FamilySearch gives a superior image.
The ship manifest IS found on the Ellis Island website.
Ellis Island gives an inferior image.
You can observe THREE (not two) images. Two of them are informative.

Ilia Janczuk:

Ilia Janzuk (crossed out):
Frame #295
https://heritage.statueofliber...cGciOw==/1

Frame #296
https://heritage.statueofliber...cGciOw==/1

His origin: wife Helena Janczuk

His destination (Writing is VERY illegible) :
Acquaintance ??Ignaty?? ??Sacharank?? or ??Sacharciuk??
Location - "Croton-On-Hudson Box 313 Post Office"
(* Croton-On-Hudson is ~40 KM north from New York City)

-----------------

Please verify this is the correct person.
For me it is awkward to use VGD.RU.
For additional correspondance, it is easier for me to use gmail.
It will be easier to post images.
parkergambino@gmail.com

For a complete search, one must consider how the spelling of a name might change.
Consult this site: https://stevemorse.org/ellis2/ellisgold.html
It can provide other possibilities for the spelling.
For Yanchuk/Janczuk there are MANY possibilities.
Good luck with your search.

Please help me read the inscription on the photo of the family of Ilya Kharitonyuk, who left for America in 1918 and never returned. "Mister Haritonyuk" and "120 Hamburg Street" (this is the street in Baltimore where Ilya and his fellow villagers lived) - we read this. So what is next?

Hello! Tell me, please, is it possible to somehow find out somewhere who lived at a certain address in a certain year (New York)?
Thanks!
[/q]

In census years it is possible to find an address, and then read who is living there.

It is not hard for the FEDERAL census years 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940.
But it is tedious.

It is not easy for the NEW YORK STATE census years 1892, 1905, 1915, 1925.
Or it may be impossible, it depends on the location.

The document known as the "Manifest" was filled out by the shipping company at the place of ORIGIN. So it is a record of who departed. Each shipping company created its own manifest sheets, so the format is not uniform. (and neither is the penmanship!). Creating this list in the country of origin is where some spelling errors may originate. Sometimes the name (and other data) is crossed out; this usually indicates that the person was NOT on the ship for some reason. (Sometimes you find the same person on a subsequent ship soon after).

When a ship arrived, the manifest was given to the officials. The officials used the manifest to keep inventory of the immigrants. Sometimes they added more notations. Certain people were detained or deported; this made additional paperwork to be included with the manifest. When an immigrant became a citizen ("naturalized") during later years, very often the manifest was checked, and a series of notations were made.

There is a common story that officials at Ellis Island or other ports changed the names of the immigrants. This is FALSE! They were merely presented with the names already written on the manifest.

The Ellis Island database only includes arrivals at the port of New York. Immigrants also arrived at many other ports. To create the database required that someone read the data, and then INDEX (a verb) the data. This is where errors sometimes occur, and then they last forever! Sometimes when you read the manifest document you can see how large an error can be.

Remember to seek others who may have travelled together on the ship; their additional information may be pertinent. Maybe they came from the same village/city; maybe they are going to the same address (destination) in the USA. This may help connect more people to your person.

Here is an important resource:
https://stevemorse.org/
https://stevemorse.org/ellis2/ellisgold.html
(Hint #1: You can sort data according to the town of origin)
(Hint #2: My ancestor's town of origin gives >40 spellings in English!)

Good luck with your research.

These documents trace Marianna's time in the USA, beginning with her arrival with her parents in 1952. She married George Jodko in 1955. They lived in Glen Cove, then moved to Cooperstown. There are several addresses of residence in Cooperstown, too many for me to search today. Marianna died in 2001; George died in 2019. Here you will find his obituary:
