Switching from one language to another? Make up your mind.  A group of non-combatant NCOs in the infantry dress uniform that was introduced in 1907 but became common after 1909. The dark shoulder boards/dark collar combo indicates that its not an infantry or a rifle regiment. Unfortunately the image is not clear and its hard to tell whats on the shoulder boards. Could be a letter K but I am not sure. The badge is blurred as well. My guess is that its the 100 year anniversary of the Local Troops" badge. It matches the uniform. In such case it could be a group of clerks from some local military administration office. Do you have any information on where this picture was taken? | | |

In my opinion this group served in the office of the county military chief. If I am not mistaken all local military offices had the same shoulder boards markings based on the name of local brigade they reported to. In this case K Kiev local brigade. This particular font was in use until 1911. Considering that the local troops badge was introduced in 1911 the photo was probably taken in the same year. To make sure check the Kiev governorships registry for the same period. Its possible there were other military offices or units located in Cherkasy that reported directly to the military district headquarter. . . , . "" - . , 1911- . , 1911-, , . . - .
