Íåêîòîðûå èç íèõ ïðåäñòàâëåíû öâåòíûìè ãðàâþðàìè íà äåðåâå ßïîíñêàÿ ãðàâþðà Øèí Õàíãà Ìû çíàåì, ÷òî óêè¸-ý (ÿïîí., áóêâ. — êàðòèíû áðåííîãî ìèðà)– ýòî ãðàâþðû -êàðòèíû ïîâñåäíåâíîé æèçíè ãîðîäñêîãî ñîñëîâèÿ ïåðèîäà Ýäî.
Ýòî ìèð çåìíûõ ðàäîñòåé è íàñëàæäåíèé. ßïîíñêàÿ ãðàâþðà óêè¸-ý äîñòèãëà ñâîåãî ðàñöâåòà ê êîíöó XVIII âåêà. Ãëàâíûìè ãåðîÿìè ãðàâþð óêè¸-ý áûëè êóðòèçàíêè, àêò¸ðû, áîðöû ñóìî, ïåðñîíàæè ïüåñ ÿïîíñêîãî òåàòðà, ãåðîè ëåãåíäàðíûõ èñòîðèé. Ñëîæèëèñü è ðàçíîîáðàçíûå æàíðû ýòîãî èñêóññòâà---- èçîáðàæåíèÿ êðàñàâèö èç «âåñ¸ëûõ êâàðòàëîâ»; ïîðòðåòû àêò¸ðîâ è ñöåíû èç ïîñòàíîâîê òåàòðà êàáóêè; ãðàâþðû íà ìèôîëîãè÷åñêèå, ëèòåðàòóðíûå ñþæåòû; èñòîðèêî-ãåðîè÷åñêèå ãðàâþðû, ïðåäñòàâëÿâøèå ñàìóðàåâ â áàòàëüíûõ ñöåíàõ; ïåéçàæíûå ãðàâþðû è èçîáðàæåíèÿ öâåòîâ è ïòèö  òî âðåìÿ ãðàâþðà óêè¸-ý – ýòî ïëîä êîëëåêòèâíîãî òðóäà---- èçäàòåëü çàêàçûâàë ðèñóíîê õóäîæíèêó (ëþáîé ðèñóíîê âûïîëíÿëñÿ êèñòüþ è òóøüþ), îòäàâàë åãî â öåíçóðó íà îäîáðåíèå , à çàòåì ïåðåäàâàë ãðàâåðó è ïå÷àòíèêó Óêè¸ áûëè êîììåð÷åñêèì ïðîäóêòîì Îíè ïðîäàâàëèñü â ñïåöèàëèçèðîâàííûõ ëàâî÷êàõ è âðó÷àëèñü ïîêóïàòåëÿì â ñâåðíóòîì âèäå È áûëè î÷åíü ïîïóëÿðíû âïëîòü äî êîíöà XIX.â.Ïðèçíàííûå ìàñòåðà óêè¸
Kitao Shigemasa Kitagawa Utamaro Kitagawa Utamaro Ñì. òàêæå çäåñü êîíöå XIX--- íà÷àëå XX â. ïîÿâèëîñü íîâîå íàïðàâëåíèå â óêè¸--- Øèí Õàíãà, èëè Ñèí Õàíãà(áóêâ. íîâàÿ ãðàâþðà) Îíî ñîõðàíèëî òðàäèöèîííóþ ñèñòåìó óêè¸-ý ñîâìåñòíîé ðàáîòû õóäîæíèêà, ðåç÷èêà, ïå÷àòíèêà è èçäàòåëÿ Íà Øèí Õàíãó çíà÷èòåëüíîå âëèÿíèå îêàçàë åâðîïåéñêèé èìïðåññèîíèçì ßïîíñêèå õóäîæíèêè ñòàëè âêëþ÷àòü èìïðåññèîíèñòñêèå ýëåìåíòû, òàêèå êàê ýôôåêòû ñâåòà è âûðàæåíèÿ îòäåëüíûõ íàñòðîåíèé, íî îíè ïðîäîëæàëè áûòü âåðíûìè ñòðîãî òðàäèöèîííûì òåìàì--- ëàíäøàôòàì, èçâåñòíûì ìåñòàì , êðàñèâûì æåíùèíàì , àêòåðàì è ïòèöàì-öâåòàì
Âäîõíîâèòåëåì íîâîãî íàïðàâëåíèÿ áûë èçäàòåëü Âàòàíàáý Ѹäçàáóðî (Watanabe Shozaburo, 1885-1962). Ïî÷óâñòâîâàâ èíòåðåñ çàïàäíûõ êîëëåêöèîíåðîâ èç ÑØÀ è Åâðîïû ê òðàäèöèîííîìó ÿïîíñêîìó èñêóññòâó, îí ñîáðàë âîêðóã ñåáÿ ãðóïïó ìîëîäûõ õóäîæíèêîâ, êîòîðûì âûïëà÷èâàë êîìèññèîííûå. Ïðåäïðèÿòèå èìåëî óñïåõ. Âñêîðå íà Çàïàäå ïîëþáèëè «íîâûå ãðàâþðû», è äàæå ÿïîíöû ìàëî-ïîìàëó îòêðûëè äëÿ ñåáÿ îáàÿíèå íîâûõ ãðàâþð
Îäèí èç ñàìûõ èçâåñòíûõ ïðåäñòàâèòåëåé ýòîãî íàïðàâëåíèÿ Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) Ëóíà-ïðîâîäíèê Çîâåò: "Çàãëÿíè êî ìíå". Äîì ó äîðîãè. Âèøíè ðàñöâåëè. Íå îòêðûòü ñåãîäíÿ ìíå Òåòðàäü ñ ïåñíÿìè. Õóäîæíèê-ìàðèíèñò, ïðîôåññîð, êîëëåêöèîíåð, Ïî÷åòíûé ÷ëåí Îäåññêîãî ãîðîäñêîãî, Øëèññåëüáóðãñêîãî óåçäíîãî è Ïåòðîãðàäñêîãî ãîðîäñêîãî Ïîïå÷èòåëüñòâ äåòñêèõ ïðèþòîâ, Íàäâîðíûé Ñîâåòíèê ñî ñòàðøèíñòâîì, õóäîæíèê Ìîðñêîãî Ìèíèñòåðñòâà Ðîññèè, îäèí èç òðåõ, ñòàâøèõ õóäîæíèêàìè, âíóêîâ È. Ê. Àéâàçîâñêîãî, ñûí åãî âòîðîé äî÷åðè Ìàðèè Èâàíîâíû Àéâàçîâñêîé (â çàìóæåñòâå Ãàíçåí).. È.Ê. Àéâàçîâñêèé ñ âíóêàìè  þíîñòè Àëåêñåé ÷àñòî áûâàë â ôåîäîñèéñêîé ìàñòåðñêîé äåäà, êîòîðûé è äàë åìó ïåðâûå óðîêè ðèñîâàíèÿ.  1890-å ó÷èëñÿ âî 2-é Îäåññêîé ïðîãèìíàçèè, çàòåì â Ðèøåëüåâñêîé ãèìíàçèè â Îäåññå.  1900 îêîí÷èë þðèäè÷åñêèé ôàêóëüòåò Íîâîðîññèéñêîãî óíèâåðñèòåòà â Îäåññå ñ äèïëîìîì II ñòåïåíè.  1901 óåõàë â Ìþíõåí äëÿ ïîëó÷åíèÿ õóäîæåñòâåííîãî îáðàçîâàíèÿ è äåñÿòü ëåò ïðîâåë çà ãðàíèöåé. Ó÷èëñÿ â Ìþíõåíñêîé ÀÕ . Ïóòåøåñòâîâàë ïî Åâðîïå. Ïèñàë ìîðñêèå ïåéçàæè, ïðîäîëæàÿ òðàäèöèþ äåäà,âñïðèíèìàÿ åãî òåõíèêó è ïðîôåññèîíàëèçì, íî íå ïîäðàæàÿ åìó... ýòî íîâûé âçãëÿä, âîëíóþùèé, íî íåòðåâîæàùèé... Ðàáîòàë õóäîæíèê â îñíîâíîì àêâàðåëüþ è ìàñëîì, èñïîëíÿë ñåïèè, ãóàøè, ãðàâþðû.  1904–1905 íàïèñàë êàðòèíû, ïîñâÿùåííûå Ðóññêî-ÿïîíñêîé âîéíå: «Ãèáåëü áðîíåíîñöà „Ïåòðîïàâëîâñê”», «Íî÷íàÿ àòàêà è îòðàæåíèå ìèíîíîñöåâ», «Áðîíåíîñíûé êðåéñåð „Àäìèðàë Ìàêàðîâ”».  Çèìîâêà ëèíåéíûõ êîðàáëåé â Ãåëüñèíãôîðñå
Ðåìîíò êðåéñåðà «Ïðóò» (áûâ. òóðåöêèé «Ìåäæèäèå») â ïëàâó÷åì äîêå ÐÎÏèÒ â Îäåññå Ýñêàäðåííûå ìèíîíîñöû Ôèíí è Íîâèê Ïîãðóçêà óãëÿ íà ëèíêîð Ãàíãóò   1910-å æèë ñ ñåìüåé â Ïåòåðáóðãå è â èìåíèè Ðîìàí-Ýëè áëèç Ôåîäîñèè. ×àñòî ïîñåùàë Îäåññó. Ïðèîáðåòàë êàðòèíû ðóññêèõ è åâðîïåéñêèõ õóäîæíèêîâ. Êàê è äåä,îí ìå÷òàë ñîçäàòü â Îäåññå êàðòèííóþ ãàëåðåþ, ïîäîáíóþ îñíîâàííîé Àéâàçîâñêèì â Ôåîäîñèè, è ïðåäëàãàë äëÿ ýòîãî ñâîé äîì è ñðåäñòâà.  ÿíâàðå 1917 ïîñëåäíèé ðàç ïîñåòèë Ïåòðîãðàä. Áûë âûäâèíóò â àêàäåìèêè, íî âûáîðû íå ñîñòîÿëèñü èç-çà ðåâîëþöèè.  1917–19 æèë â Îäåññå.  ÿíâàðå 1920 ýìèãðèðîâàë ñ ñåìüåé ÷åðåç Êîíñòàíòèíîïîëü è Ñàëîíèêè â Êîðîëåâñòâî ÑÕÑ. Æèë â Äóáðîâíèêå. Äî ïîñëåäíèõ äíåé çàíèìàëñÿ æèâîïèñüþ. Êàðòèíû ïðèîáðåòàëèñü äëÿ êîðîëåâñêèõ äâîðöîâ Þãîñëàâèè, Ðóìûíèè, Èòàëèè. Ñ åãî èëëþñòðàöèÿìè èçäàí òðåõòîìíûé òðóä êîíòð-àäìèðàëà À. Ä. Áóáíîâà "Èñòîðèÿ âîåííî-ìîðñêîãî èñêóññòâà" (Çàãðåá, 1933, íà ñåðáî-õîðâàòñêîì ÿçûêå).  Óìåð õóäîæíèê 19 îêòÿáðÿ 1937 â Äóáðîâíèêå. Åâãåíèé Çàê ðîäèëñÿ â Ðîññèéñêîé èìïåðèè. íî ñ 1902 ã. îí óæå â Ïàðèæå Ñåãîäíÿ î íåì ïèøóò êàê î ïîëüñêî-ôðàíöóçñêîì õóäîæíèêå [q] Õóäîæíèê Ïàðèæñêîé øêîëû Åâãåíèé Çàê ðîäèëñÿ 15 äåêàáðÿ 1884 ãîäà â ìåñòå÷êå Ìîãèëüíî Èãóìåíñêîãî óåçäà Ìèíñêîé ãóáåðíèè (ñåé÷àñ – Óçäåíñêèé ðàéîí Ìèíñêîé îáëàñòè) â ñåìüå èíæåíåðà Ñàâåëèÿ Çàêà.
Äåòñòâî è þíîñòü áóäóùåãî õóäîæíèêà ïðîøëè â Âàðøàâå, êóäà âìåñòå ñ ìàòåðüþ Åâãåíèé ïåðååõàë â 1892 ãîäó, ïîñëå ñìåðòè îòöà.  Âàðøàâå æå Çàê îêîí÷èë øêîëó è ïîëó÷èë íà÷àëüíîå õóäîæåñòâåííîå îáðàçîâàíèå.
Äëÿ ïðîäîëæåíèÿ îáó÷åíèÿ â 1902 ãîäó Åâãåíèé Çàê ïåðååõàë âî Ôðàíöèþ, â Ïàðèæ. Íåñêîëüêî ìåñÿöåâ îí ïîñåùàë Íàöèîíàëüíóþ âûñøóþ øêîëó èçÿùíûõ èñêóññòâ, ãäå åãî ãëàâíûì íàñòàâíèêîì áûë èçâåñòíûé ôðàíöóçñêèé õóäîæíèê-àêàäåìèñò Æàí-Ëåîí Æåðîì, à çàòåì çàíèìàëñÿ â ÷àñòíîé õóäîæåñòâåííîé øêîëå – Àêàäåìèè Êîëàðîññè, ðàáîòàÿ ïîä ðóêîâîäñòâîì æèâîïèñöà Ïîëÿ Àëüáåðòà Áåíàðà, êîòîðûé øèðîêî èñïîëüçîâàë â ñâîåé æèâîïèñè èìïðåññèîíèñòè÷åñêèå ïðè¸ìû ïèñüìà.
 1903 ãîäó Çàê ñîâåðøèë ïóòåøåñòâèå ïî Èòàëèè, áûë â Ðèìå è Ôëîðåíöèè, à â êîíöå ãîäà ïåðååõàë â Ãåðìàíèþ, â Ìþíõåí, ãäå ïðîäîëæèë ñâî¸ îáó÷åíèå â çíàìåíèòîé õóäîæåñòâåííîé øêîëå æèâîïèñöà-ðåàëèñòà Àíòîíà À́æáå, ïðåïîäàâàòåëüñêàÿ ìåòîäèêà êîòîðîãî áûëà íàïðàâëåíà íà ðàçâèòèå èíäèâèäóàëüíîé ìàíåðû ó÷åíèêîâ.
 1904 ãîäó Åâãåíèé Çàê âîçâðàòèëñÿ â Ïàðèæ. Ïèñàë ïîðòðåòû, ïåéçàæè, èäèëëè÷åñêèå è æàíðîâûå êîìïîçèöèè. Ðåãóëÿðíî âûñòàâëÿë ðàáîòû â Îñåííåì ñàëîíå (1904–1925, ñ ïåðåðûâàìè), ñàëîíå Íåçàâèñèìûõ (1906–1912), Òþèëüðè (1904, 1925).
 1906–1908 ñîâåðøèë ïîåçäêó â Áðåòàíü; â 1914 ïóòåøåñòâîâàë ïî þãó Ôðàíöèè.  1916–1921 æèë â Âàðøàâå. Îäèí èç îñíîâàòåëåé ãðóïïû «Ðèòì», îáúåäèíèâøåé ìîëîäûõ àâàíãàðäíûõ ïîëüñêèõ õóäîæíèêîâ. Ïîñëå íåäîëãîãî âðåìÿ ïðåáûâàíèÿ â Ãåðìàíèè (1921), âîçâðàòèëñÿ â Ïàðèæ (1922).
Ýêñïîíèðîâàëñÿ â Îñåííåì ñàëîíå (1905–1925, ñ ïåðåðûâàìè), ñàëîíå Íåçàâèñèìûõ (1906–1912), Òþèëüðè (1904, 1925); ó÷àñòíèê çíàìåíèòîé ìîäåðíèñòñêîé âûñòàâêè «Armory Show» («Àðñåíàëüíàÿ âûñòàâêà») â Íüþ-Éîðêå (1913), ãäå ïîêàçàë 2 êàðòèíû. Ïðîâåë ïåðñîíàëüíûå âûñòàâêè â ïàðèæñêèõ ãàëåðåÿõ «Druet» (1911), «Devambez» (1925).
Ïðåïîäàâàë â Àêàäåìèè «La Palette» (ñ 1912).
Ñêîðîïîñòèæíî ñêîí÷àëñÿ îò ñåðäå÷íîãî ïðèñòóïà. Ïîõîðîíåí íà êëàäáèùå Ìîíïàðíàñ. Ïîñìåðòíàÿ ðåòðîñïåêòèâíàÿ âûñòàâêà ñîñòîÿëàñü â Îñåííåì ñàëîíå (1926), ïîñìåðòíûå âûñòàâêè ïðîøëè òàêæå â ãàëåðåÿõ «Bing» (1926), «M. Bernheim» (1927), Âàðøàâå (2003–2004).
Ñóïðóãà õóäîæíèêà ßäâèãà Êîí îñíîâàëà â Ïàðèæå ãàëåðåþ «Zak» (ñóùåñòâîâàëà äî íà÷àëà Âòîðîé ìèðîâîé âîéíû), â êîòîðîé ýêñïîíèðîâàëèñü ìíîãèå ìàñòåðà Ïàðèæñêîé øêîëû.

Ðîáåðòî Èííî÷åíòè [q] Èòàëüÿíñêèé èëëþñòðàòîð Ðîáåðòî Èííî÷åíòè ðîäèëñÿ â ìàëåíüêîì ãîðîäå íåïîäàëåêó îò Ôëîðåíöèè â 1940 ãîäó.  13-ëåòíåì âîçðàñòå åìó ïðèøëîñü áðîñèòü øêîëó è ïîéòè ðàáîòàòü, ÷òîáû ïîìîãàòü ñåìüå. Íî ñòðàñòü ê ðèñîâàíèþ áûëà òàê âåëèêà, ÷òî óæå â âîñåìíàäöàòü îí óåçæàåò â Ðèì è ïîñòóïàåò â àíèìàöèîííóþ ñòóäèþ, à òàêæå äåëàåò òåàòðàëüíûå è êèíîàôèøè, çàíèìàåòñÿ êíèæíûì äèçàéíîì. Ñïåöèàëüíîãî õóäîæåñòâåííîãî îáðàçîâàíèÿ Èííî÷åíòè òàê è íå ïîëó÷èë.
Ñ íà÷àëà 70-õ ãã. Ðîáåðòî Èííî÷åíòè ïîëíîñòüþ ïîñâÿòèë ñåáÿ êíèæíîé èëëþñòðàöèè. Ïåðâîé êíèãîé, ïðèíåñøåé õóäîæíèêó èçâåñòíîñòü, ñòàëà "Çîëóøêà".
Ýòà ðàáîòà ñðàçó îáðàòèëà íà ñåáÿ âíèìàíèå íå òîëüêî âûñîêèì ìàñòåðñòâîì õóäîæíèêà, íî è îðèãèíàëüíîñòüþ òðàêòîâêè. Èííî÷åíòè ïåðåíåñ äåéñòâèå ñêàçêè èç âîëøåáíîé ñòðàíû â àíãëèéñêóþ äåðåâíþ 1920-õ ãã.
