Hello, I am interested in a marriage certificate for Fedor Efimov Khodyrev and Anna Markelovna Dyubina,. They lived in the village of Shalaevo (light) Bogorod. Their first son Pavel may have been born 1904-1907. I could not find birth. Can you tell me where to get a marriage certificate? Can this be done online? This is my grandfather and grandmother. My father Ivan Fedorovich Khodyrev was born in 1915 and he was the last child. I am not in Russia but the U.S. Thank you

I do not speak Russian, some Polish. I can translate printed words but not written. I also use Email to help me. If I have the proper Email address, I can send a request. Someone here will help me translate. I believe Fedor was born in 1878 and Anna in 1880.. If Pavel was born around 1905 ? then Fedor would have been about 27 or a few years sooner with the marriage. I was hoping to find Anna's maiden name and where she came from. I do not need a certificate, just information. I think that Fedor's father was Efim but I cannot say for sure without knowledge from a marriage certificate. If they need proof of relationship, I do not have the Khodyrev name on any of my papers. The church books for Bogorodskoe for 1900-1915 should be in CGAKO. The church record would likely (but not necessarily) show the maiden name of the bride and/or full name of her farther, and it will show the place the bride's family was from. You may also find names of some relatives who witnessed the act from both the groom's side and bride's side.
Unfortunately, the request could only be done through email; there is no online access to archive documents. Please be aware that it may take up to 30 business days for the Archive to respond. And of course, they operate in Russian only. Another issue is payment - the archive only accepts payment through a Russian bank (Sberbank) wire, and you may need to find somebody with an account there to make the payment for you. Good luck!
