I believe I need a VPN in Russia to access to the site. I don't have one but I keep this for later.
If I get it correctly. These archives is a list of person name gurin who lived in Pinks in 1874, 1893, 1914 and 1906 ? I might be found something about Jankiel and his parents in 1874. In 1893, the family was probably in Brest then in 1906 Warsaw.[/q]
Well, as far as I see the online.archives.ru is only accessible via VPN from the EU, meanwhile the websites of ГАРФ (GARF) and РГАСПИ (RGASPI) are available directly. I used to reach Russian website from outside the country with a number of different VPN apps. FuranNietchaieff написал: [q] If I get it correctly. I'm slightly overbooked for the next 30 days with this archive in Minsk, so I can help you a couple of weeks later if you are not in a hurry. This data in a list of a kind can not be extracted by the simple official archival inquiry (metrical data inquiry), since it is a list of families. The appropriate request to reach this data usually takes more than half a year. You can also try jewishgen for this book, but seems like this volume wasn't ever indexed by the JG participants. We have these files with Brest jewish family lists in the Grodno archive: The same thing with requesting any extract from this kind of documentation. A long-term official inquiry works, JG index works, or someone's help on the spot. |
