He wouldn't be in the White Army. He was killed sometime between 1914-1916.

So far I can't imagine the possibility here (too few records are digitalized for it) ---

 The blind search is like a puzzle, trying to put all the pieces together. Still... a search with the all information is probably easier. At least I've picked up some Russian in the process. I'd look into buying the book. Does he mail to Canada or just local or the United States? It certainly seems to be a good resource. | | |

I knew it was close to the border but thought it was still in Minsk Province. Guess I was wrong. Thanks for the correction.
I'd still be interested in the book, simply because I'm unsure if that is indeed the family I'm looking for and because it is bound to come in handy with other searches. Hence, my inclusion of Vilna Province as well in the initial post. | | |

Sorry, but this place in Russian Empire was in Minsk governorate.  So the real record looks from a metrical book for 1889 in translating into the Polish language.  Rzymsko-katolicki kościół w Derewnie, z części 4 - księgi zgonów nr 124 24 września 1888 roku w folwarku Zamianka umarła szlachcianka Róża Burzyńska na tyfus zaopatrzona sakramentami św. Wdowa po zmarłym Adamie Burzyńskim w wieku lat 50, parafianka kościoła derewieńskiego, pozostawiła jedynego syna Eustachego Ciało jej ksiądz J. Kontrymowicz pochował na cmentarzu derewieńskim26 września tegoż roku --- Сведения о моих предках размещены для восстановления истории семьи.

Я же выше выложил карту, где и Воложин и Деревно в Ошмянском уезде Виленской губернии, не в Минской. И из словаря XIX века.

14 декабря 2013 14:28 In Second Polish Republic (1918-1939) Derewno and Borowkowszczyzna was in Nowogrodek Voivodeship (Województwo nowogródzkie). Until 1926 in Wołożyn county (Powiat wołożyński), later in Stołpce county (Powiat stołpecki).
