The interesting thing for me is

1729 my ancestor was released from "war-prison"
and allowed to settle anywhere in the Russian Empire at his choosing!

1730 the City of Riga complained about an Obristlieutenant (подпол) Martinoff who took 458 Ruthen of Land at the Old castle, but didn't pay taxes!

1733 there is an Obristleutenant (подпол) Martinoff in charge of Duenamuende!

This could be possible, or just a coincidence !!!????

The "Georgen Hospital" or St. George Hospital was next to the old
Headquaters (Castle) of the Teutonic Knights, but it was moved to a different place,
the old site doesn't exist any more!

I have tried, but had no luck......
I would love to find the archives for the "War-Council" or "Kriegskollegio" for 1729

......but no luck either!

....it doesn't stop there,
I was able to trace my family, to "Bolderaa"
right across from "Duenamuende" !

Bolderaa was the supporting city for Duenamuende
