Well, let's put aside his death certificate, there are too many variables at the moment. I came back to the marriage certificate between Grigory and Maria. I remembered he was in Vilius's confessional statements for the Nikolaevskaya Church so I looked there but haven't found anything yet.

"I've looked through the service list. You're totally right, the marriage should be looked for in Vilno or Chaussy. It's quite possible that the marriage was concluded at the Vilno Annunciation local military church. There're metrical books of that church at RGIA (Russian state historical archives) since the 1890s. The earlier ones are, very likely, at the Insurance fund storage center at Yalutorovsk. It must requested it via RGVIA. If you fail to find the right metrical book at Vilnius, then contact me, we'll work on it and i'll request Yalutorovsk for you " | | Ëàéê (1) |

19 ìàÿ 2024 10:09 19 ìàÿ 2024 12:24 Pay attention to the phrase about marriage: "announced in the battalion order". My guess is that their marriage took place in an infantry or regimental church. If I'm not wrong Vilna local regiment = Novo-Troksky 169th Infantry Regiment. You can see how the names changed here link. Your Nechaev was in the 17th reserve personnel regiment of the Vilna local battalion. But they only had a regimental church in 1892. (if I found the information correctly) The RGVIA has a fund F. 7583, 1 op., 12 units. Chronicle, last dates: 1877-1879. 17th Infantry Reserve Battalion (1877-1879). May be there would be some information (battalion order for example). But anyway you are already extremely lucky to find date of marriage and maiden name. It might also make sense to look at F. 2666. Op. 3 d.20 52nd Vilna Infantry Regiment of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich. Regimental Church. If I'm not mistaken those regiments were connected. There are marriage records for 1877–1886. P.S. Also there is a note that in 1881 Grigory lived in Moscow in the house of the peasant Mikhail Morozov, Lefortovo part of the 7th quarter. He gave an acknowledgment in Moscow. and in 1880 lived in Chausy as permanent resident in the house of Mrs. Sinyavskaya (probably Maria's mother house) | | Ëàéê (1) |

19 ìàÿ 2024 11:52 19 ìàÿ 2024 11:53 FuranNietchaieff íàïèñàë: [q] [q] It says that he was qualified for a pension from the general governmental treasury even though he hadn't served the full term, as he retired due to an illness. But he wasn't qualified for a pension from the Military infantry treasury since his illness wasn't on the list. It doesn't specify what kind of illness though.
[/q]
Thanks. Unfortunate that the type of illness is not detailed[/q]
It is detayled - catarrh, rheumatism, an “air tumor of the lungs” (apparently a cyst) was diagnosed, and as a result, dilation of the right ventricle of the heart. The conclusion was given by doctors of the 61st Vladimir Infantry Regiment in 1880. | | Ëàéê (1) |

Oh I see. It's not as simple as I thought. I may have to reapply to rgvia then. Great thank you very much for this valuable information. He had a permanent residence in Chaussy and a "secondary residence" in Moscow, where his family lived. At that time he still had at least one brother and one sister with their children. Maybe Mikhail Morozov was his older sister's husband or a nephew? But I guess it could just be a friend too.
