Thank you for the suggestions. I have most of this info already, the problem is no russian sources. The parents of Johannes for example are put with speculation, no proof. I have familysearch and have been doing all i can to find

Just a short one on Russian sources:

[домен скрыт] (признан экстремистским, деятельность запрещена в РФ)

If you enter Benner= Беннер in the last name box you will receive 191 hits.

Listed here are people suffering from political terror in the USSR. One a few you will find additional information or hints where they have been found.

I will come back later with some more ideas.

Regards
Alex

Good morning,

here’s a second Russian source:

https://gwar.mil.ru/heroes/?la...amp;page=1

This is a database of soldiers serving in WW1, mostly wounded, dead, or POW.
There are also some Benners …..
Now you have to puzzle a little bit.

Alex

Some more links for today:

https://www.worldcat.org/title.../226235835

That’s a published book with the data from the Russian Census of Yagodnaja Poljana 1834 from the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia.
This is not a direct link but you have to contact them via the homepage in order to buy a copy. As far as I have seen there are also additional books for other census dates.
https://www.ahsgr.org/

On there page is also a hint for family charts.
There is one for Benner:

https://www.ahsgr.org/page/SurnameAG

Last one is a large collection of genealogical data and information about people of Yagodnaja Poljana. There are many references to Benner family members:

https://rdscheuerman.files.wor...-i-iii.pdf

I think you should have a look on the census data first in order to make sure data for people you know…..

Hope that will help a bit.

Regards
Alex
