Hello all!! They are my relatives. Iacov and Irina were the parents of my grandmother, and I was born in Brazil. Irina was born in Semionovca, a village of where now is known as Ștefan Vodă District, Moldova. We now know that, because we have a copy of her Romanian passport. As far as I know, this region had a complicated history during the beginning of the 20th century, belonging to first the Russian Empire, then Romania, then the Soviet Union, and now Moldova. I am not a specialist in Romanian law, and that is why I'm here asking for your help. I think my mom has the right to the Romanian citizenship, right? And myself? I know that they immigrated against their will, to save their lives. Where do we start to look for it? | | |
