Interesting. If I understand correctly, Grigoriy is a witness at a wedding between Alexandra Danilova Sinyavskaya and Ignatius Evgeniev Engel (Engil)?
If so, Alexandra may be a half-sister to Maria Tolstoy. Because Maria's mother is Nedzia Siniavska-Kossova
Alexandra's father is Danil Siniavsky?
On the other hand, Alexander Netchaev says nothing to me at all.
Is it possible to get a direct link into the marriage record ?

It's really helpful and enlighten! It explains where "Danilovna" of Maria Danilovna Tolstoï come from when Danil Tosltoï does not exist. Marie therefore takes her patronymic from her father-in-law Danil Siniavsky.
Tanks for the link

I looked at the link more carefully. It turns out that Grigoriy is married. If I understand correctly, it's written "Ãðèãîð³é Ìèõàèëîâú Íå÷àåâú Ïîæåíèõó" which gives Grigoriy Mikhailov Netchaev married. So Grigoriy and Maria were married between 1878 and 1885 and I really believe that it is in Mogilev or Tchaoussy that we have to look.

No, this part Ïîæåíèõó - Ïî æåíèõó, means that Grigory is witness from the groom side. For men in witnesess category marital status was never recorded

Oh okay I got it! There is two possible thing anyway. First, Grigoriy met Maria at the marriage of Alexandra then get married or, Alexandra met Ignatius friend of Grigoriy husband of Maria. Unfortunately, we can't reduce the time range but Moguilev is probably a good way because in the immigrate folder of Maria that I found recently, it says that Maria and Grigoriy married in Moguilev without date precision. And I remember that Grigoriy wasn't in Vilnius anymore after 1878 or in any case, not foundable so maybe he travel to Belarus for X reason.

oh, I may have some vital information regarding Grigoriy Mikhailov Netchaiev. He may have been born on January 5, 1853 in Moscow or on September 5, 1854 in Moscow. Do you think you could find his birth certificate?

Are you sure of the year of birth? 23-24 years seems like a very young age for a captain.
I'll try to look at something, but there were many parishes in Moscow.

]I have the same feeling as you about the date of birth but it was Maria Tolstoy who wrote it in her own hand in the immigration file. I asked for Grigoriy's death certificate, I had the year and the city, I think I'll get it this week, if there's at least one age, we'll soon be sure
