Good afternoon.

By any chance, do you have any parish details of the attached birth record?

[/q]

It`s Edinoverie St. Andrew's Church (Единоверческая Андреевская церковь)

[/q]

Thank you. For some reason I haven't found Mikhail's birth record...

It`s Edinoverie St. Andrew's Church (Единоверческая Андреевская церковь), I looked at the 1890-1895 in this parish marriage record was not found, perhaps they were passing through Kaunas (lived temporarily) and the marriage was concluded in another locality.

It is possible that when Grigoriy retired, both of them came to Kaunas to start a family, but in reality, they were actually married in Russia. I'm not sure if it would be possible to consider searching in Moscow or St. Petersburg later on. I know that the Nietchaev's considered themselves as Russian and nothing else. They seemed pretty firm on that. Especially that Mikhail, when he landed in Belgium, he tryed to make a film about the story of the last Tsar Nicolas II. It's a detail but this confirm the possibility of a marriage in Russia rather than in Lithuania even though it was part of the Russian Empire at that time.

Maybe we can find information by looking for the death record of Grigoriy Mikhailovitch Netchaiev? As I said above, he died between 1895 and 1924. For me, there are 2 possible places: Kaunas and Radzymin.
Is it possible for someone to verify this? At least for Kaunas?

so if I understand correctly, Grigoriy served in Lithuania. He lived there between 1877 and 1895?

At that time it was the Russian Empire, Vilna province. I suppose that at least from 1877 to 1878 he lived in Vilnius (Vilna). Troki (Trakai) is also deserve studying, this city is close to Vilna

Found another little peace of information - by 1877 Grigoriy Mikhailovitch Netchaiev Stabskapitän is noted in the confession sheet of the Nicholas Cathedral in Vilna, at that time he is not married, unfortunately his age is not indicated. He is no longer in the confession sheet for 1887 for the same parish.
He was listed in the 4th company of the Vilna local battalion.

Very interesting document !
in 1877, if I keep my logic, Grigoriy was around 38 years old and Maria Tolstoy 20 years old. Given that marriage usually happens quite early for women, or they got married in the years to come, maximum 1881 I think. Either it would be late, more around 1895.
This document is really helpful to reduce the period. In 1887, he wasn't married either? or is the information just for 1877?

It is only for 1877. He was not mentioned in confession sheet of the Nicholas Cathedral for 1887
