kursha19 is going to the archives on 17th of january 2022 to look for the birth (or baptism) record of Matryona Feodorovna CHERKASOVA.

So we'll have the record in a few days.

What can we expect from it. I know what's in the french records but what information can we found on russian birth records ? What will we have to do after that ?

You will learn the names and patronymics of Matryona's parents. The father's place of residence, his social status. And the names of the recipients.

After that, you need to find a record of the marriage of Matrena's parents. From this entry you can find out the place of residence and social status of the mother, her maiden name.

As user jrw wrote you got from othodox baptism record mentioned information + social statuses and places for residence for recipients.
Some of recipient might be a relatives for parents.

From wedding record you may get ages of the bride and the groom also. It may contain full names, social statuses and places for residence for newlyweds' fathers.
It contain the same information (full names, social statuses and places for residence) about guarantors.

That's interesting.

In Czech Republic, the marriage is often in the birth city of the bride, is there something similar in Russia ?

(because i don't think we can check if the marriage is in the correct city, before paying somebody to get the record)

Да, и первый ребенок часто тоже регистрируется в приходе матери - возможно, поэтому записи о рождении Владимира нет в Москве.

Thanks for you different responses.

So with the birth record, we shouldn't be able to find the place of the marriage (if only the place of residence of the father is mentionned)...
We can just "hope" that the marriage is in Polivanovo then ?

C'est peut-être le cas.
Mais il faut d'abord attendre le résultat de la recherche de la date de naissance et du baptème de Matrena.

I just saw that there are 2 Polivanovo.
One in the oblast of Moscow, and the other in the oblast of Riazan.
