Hey!
Again i'm here and looking for help. Thanks to you all help i found my relatives and now i have much more information about them. But with my roots i'm almost in same palace. But now maybe you can help me again.
About Peeter Talvik (my grandfathers father) i found out, that he had a lot of land and was quite rich in this area. And also i know, that he died about in 1922 or 1923. And one of Peeters granddaughters (borned after death of Peeter) remembers, that at home or with others nobody talked about Peeter Talvik and his death. Even grandmother Miina. Also there is no grave of Peeter. And from somewhere she remembers words like "they took him away" or "he was missing". And about in 1922-1923 his wife Miina had to give all land away to (how is it in English, kolhoos). From all that there is one version. Maybe Soviet KGB (or some other organisation) arrested him or just killed? Is there any possibilities to find out something about that? Anything?

Yes, that i know. As much grandfather told, hes roots are from somewhere around Tartu and Võru. But i need something more, as this surname was given for many places around this cities.
But are they went to Siberia by themselves or they were sent, i'm not sure. As Revel (old) was founded by Estonians, who were sent out from Estonia to Siberia because of Mahtra war (i heard this from somewhere) and as they lived in this village, i can not say, how it was. For this i must find out some things before.

I but here one more surname. It's Streif.
At first, how you write it in Russian? And the second, if somebody see this name somewhere, please let me know. This is also one line of my roots. But in Estonia is no any of them anymore. And somewhere i read, that in Russia lives some Streif. Where they live, i don't know.

Well, thanks to you all!!! This is quite a lot, what you have told me. And from this i can work with some materials, so i hope i'll find what i want. And of course, if it's possible, i have to go Omsk by myself :D

Is there in many archives this kind possibilities like this in Tobolsk? That i can look some documents over the internet? Where i can find them? I looked in Omsk archive home page, but i could not find something like this.

Yes, of course everything is possible. Also maybe my grandfather's sister Anni (Peeter's daughter) told to my mother wrong.
But name Talvik in Russia - i think they all have Estonian roots. Only thing that in Estonia all who named Talvik are not relatives. So in Siberia they does not have to be relatives also. Estonian roots, yes.

But here is that Peeter was born in Siberia already. As i know, grandfather always talked as Peeter was 3 years old, when they reached to Siberia. Of course, it can be mistake also.

Also here i can find name Treier also (as one sister of my grandfather was married with Treier). But is it possible to find somewhere information about Ivanovka school director Treier? Let's say, he's children or something?

I don't have any contacts of Talvik in Omsk Oblast now. And i don't know, where to find those contacts. As i'm not very home in Russian, for me it's a little bit hard to find something like that. Is there any internet site or something, where is possible find contacts like this?
In one day i'm sure i will travel to Omsk and hope to see this places and maybe even find some living relatives, but it will happen somewhere in the future. But right now i want to make some research and if possible, to establish first conacts with some living relatives.

No, in Estonian AIS is no documents about Peeter Talvik, who went to Siberia. And as i know, Peeter was 3 years old, when they reached to Siberia. It's all. I don't know Peeter's parents names, year when they reached to Siberia, nothing. And about Peeter's wife Miina i even don't know so much. In Estonian archives i and my mother looked everything we found, but nothing.
But thank you! I think that this Tobolski archive can help (i hope so). As most of Novõi Revel founders lived before in Staraja Revel, it's possible that family Talvik lived also in there.

A few words about my problem.
I have done research of my roots for 20 years. I know everything about my roots as far as in Estonia is possible to find. It makes back to 1650s. In all other lines.
But what i can not research is my grandfather Villem Talvik and he's roots. It's because i don't know from where they started to travel in to the Siberia. And surname Talvik is used in many places. All who named Talvik are not relatives. I tried to find possible Peeter Talvik in Estonian church books, but without any information there is too many possibilities. And as Villem's mother Miina was born in Siberia, then about her roots i can not find anything in Estonia at all, if i don't know even her surname before marriage. That's why i need this information in Russia.

This is not helping me. At first i must find out something about my grandfather's parents. At least birth year, but better something more. In this AIS are documents from Estonian archives, but i need to know about my grandfather's family in Russia. I know everything about my grandfather's life after II World War, when he started life in Estonia and married with my grandmother. But i don't know much he's about he's life and he's family before II World War, when he lived in Russia. Everything i know is written in here also. Now i want to find my relatives and my roots in Russia and then (if i get to know enough about Peeter and Miina Talvik) i can come back to Estonia and research my family here.

Yes, that could be.
Remembered, that somewhere in 1980s grandfather's sister Liisi lived in Ivanovka with husband and sister Ida lived in Novõi Revel (about 3 km from railway station in Ivanovka). About brother Eduard and sister Anni i don't know nothing.

For me is a little bit interesting, that as i understand, Novõi Revel was founded in 1926, but my grandfather born in 1922 and in Novõi Revel.

About grandfather nothing. But about he's family before war (in Russia) and also about living relatives in Russia. I hope to establish some kind a contact with them.
And about grandfather's parents i want to know everything. This Peeter Talvik (who are he's parents, where and when he born, from where in Estonia they went to Siberia) and he's wife Miina (she's parents, place and date of birth and so on). Everything what is possible.

Well, Konstantin, you found my grandfather. This Villem Petrovitš Talvik is my gradfather. Two medals he got. But other information is not helping me jet. In Estonia there are many people named Talvik. And they are not all relatives. So, this information can help me later. But thank you anyway!

I don't know very much about them, but maybe you can help me with this what i know.
My granfather was born in Novõi Revel Omsk Oblast in 14.10.1922 year. He's name was Villem Talvik. Also i know that he had brother Eduard Talvik (wife Salme) and sisters Anni (husband Aleksander Braže), Liisi (husband was Ivanovka school director Artur Treier, lived in Ivanovka) and Ida Volkova. Only Ida was younger than my grandfather. In what year they borned or died, i don't know. Their mother's name was Miina. And father was Peeter Talvik. Also grandfather told to my mother, that he's father Peeter was 3 years old, when he and he's family reached to Siberia. And this is all. I don't know, where Peeter was born. In what year they reached to Siberia and where they lived before. Also i don't know anything about Peeter's wife Miina (i know she died in Estonia but this is all). My grandfather died in Estonia in 2002.y. and i know everything about it (he lived he's last years with us).

Hey!
I'm looking for living relatives in Russia. Also a little help to find my roots.
My grandfather was born in Omsk Oblast and he's name was Villem Talvik. I don't know much about he's family in Russia, but something i know.
Is there somebody who can help me or just give me some advice or tips, where and how to start?
I live in Estonia. I can read and understand also English and Russian (and of course Estonian), but i write only in English and Estonian. So, for me it's better if you can write in Estonian, but you can write in English or Russian also.
If you need some kind help in Estonia, i'm ready to help you.
