It says in the Swedish church books that he was a Russian subject with Greek orthodox religion.

Hi again!
No I don't have his birth papers, I only have information about him when he came to Sweden. He was born September 8th 1880 in Alexandrow, Kujawski, Russia. His parents name was Peter Petrov and Martzia.
He has told the Swedish police about what he have done in his life before he came to Sweden, he had worked on the railway station in Alexandrow, in Ciechocinek at some pool place and Torun with some kind of channel construction.
He was in the army, but I don't know where.
After that he moved to Germany and worked, then Holland.
That's all I know about him before he came to Sweden.
In Sweden we have church books scanned, so you have access to them on the Internet. But I haven't found it for Poland or Russia.

I have just found out that my great grandfather was born in Aleksandrow, Kujawski in Poland.
Now I want to know who his parents were and more about his life in Poland before he came to Sweden.
How do I do that? Can I find information on the Internet or do I have to contact someone?
I really hope someone can help me!

I'm Caroline from Sweden. My great grandfather was Russian and was born in Alexandrow, Kujawski (Now Polen) in 1880. His name was Frans Petrov.
Can somebody here please help me find more information about him and his parents and maybe he had any siblings?
