Dear Tatiana and Nikola,
Thank you for your help!
Tatiana,
this is interesting, do you have the year both were registered?
Thank you for looking out for me!
Nikola,
thank you, I have found a kind person in Sweden
who was able to give me a rough translation!
It is the description of the funeral of a Countess LEUCHTENBERG!
I believe that this must have been somewhere between
the years of 1853— and 1859!
But I am not sure!
Does any of you might know who that Countess was!
Since I do not know how bad the Russian Translation is,
first the English Version!
The original text in Swedish contains very rare words of today, but never the
less they are easily understood by a Swede of my age. But the exact English
translation, for the same period of time, are unknown to me as I do not have
access to old lexicon . So, here follows the meaning in the text, without the
older vocabulary. But I have kept the original order and form of the sentences,
meaning rather long and complex ones. And several words for subjects without the
usual 'the'-form.
And as always, some of my usual miss-spellings...
Notices (notifications) from Russia
The funeral for (or should it be 'of' in English?) the countess of Leuchtenberg
As an addition to the first description of the funeral, ''Nov. Wr.'' tells the
following: At the station of Jergijeffsky the corps was received by their (DD
stands for both of them) Majesties and was carried to the catafalque (the
four wheeled black wagon for the carrying of coffins) by all present members of
the imperial family, together with the nearest relatives of the deceased.
The 'roof' of the wagon was of black satin with silver decorations.
In the procession, which now was of a more familiar kind, His Majesty and the
princes walked by foot from the railway station to the Sergijeff monastery
itself, while Her Majesty followed after in couch. In front of the catafalque
pastor Hertzenberg walked.
At the entrance of the monastery, the mourning procession was received with
songs from all monks, leaded by their archimandrit (a title), all following the
procession all the way to the grave, where the ceremony was held by pastor
Herzenberg. The deceased countess was buried in the Oldenburg family grave, on
the right side of the entrance of the above the same grave erected (built) glass
pavilion, which is (yes, 'is' here not 'was'

filled with the most rare
tropical plants and flowers.
Thank you again for all your help!
Best wishes,

Дорогая Tatiana и Nikola, Спасибо за Вашу помощь!
Tatiana,
это интересно, у Вас есть год, оба были зарегистрированы?
Спасибо за внимательность меня!
Nikola,

F. Martinoff
