I am conducting 18th‑century research on my ancestors who worked at the Moscow Printing House. My research begins with the couple Vasily Ivanov Tikhomirov, married on 18 July 1787 to Anna Semionovna: “The typesetter of the University Printing House, Vasily Tikhomirov, married the daughter of the deceased typesetter Semion Andreïev, the maiden Anna Semionova. Both were contracting their first marriage, after the required formalities had been completed.”

Beyond this date, I have found nothing further on them.

However, I have several other batyrshchiks from the same printing house and the same parish in the Nikitsky district, namely: Ivan Semionov Larine, Vasily Semionov Ponomarev, and Venedikt Semionov. But I have been unable to locate any document that would allow me to link Anna to any of them.

For the Tikhomirovs, after their marriage in 1787, I have been able to extract the confession registers between 1788 and 1822. In 1829, I found a certain Anna Semionova, deceased and widow of a batyrshchik, who could correspond to the one I am seeking. Thus, Vasily would have died between 1822 and 1829 but nothing was found.

Any help would be appreciate
