I need help again. I am searching for information about the military academy of Twer in 1891. Does anybody know about lists of recruits or anything else?

Hi, as far as i know, there was the Tver Cavalry School. It's page on wiki: http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%...1%89%D0%B5

At Russian State Military Historical Archive:
[q]
16. 3. 18. , .. . 728. 1896-1918 . 3 ..
[/q]

http://rusarchives.ru/guide/rgvia/fvy_3.shtml
It related to the interested school but dates 1896-1918 and number of folder (3) do not make me optimistic

Hi,

thanks for your answer.

In the last time I searched in address books for Konstantin Leonhard von Hunnius. I only know, that he was an Russian lieutnant, but I don't know the regiment. For an inquiry at the Russian State Military Historical Archive I need his regiment.

Since he was lieutenant you do not need to know for inquiry. They have an alphabetic catalog. Knowing regiment is recommended but no mandatory in search of officers. You need to provide his name and years of service, about 1890 - 1917, for example.

Just FYI. There was Gunnius Konstantin Nikolay (Karl) born 1840. In 1893 he got a general-major rank

http://regiment.ru/bio/G/80.htm - Gunnius Nikolay Evald

google also found Gunnius Nikolay Leonhard and Gunnius Harald Leonhard (possible an engineer, possibly an officer of Customs Service Dept at Ministry of Finances of Russian Empire in 1916), but the web-site with that information (official web-site of Russian State Historical Archive) is not accessible right now.

Oh, okay, no regiment is needed? That I don't know.

For Gunnius Nikolay Evald I had the personnel file. His brother, Konstantin Leonhard Gunnius, was born 1869 in the governement of Warsaw. He died approx. 1900 / 1910, because he was insane.

It is mandatory for soldiers. For officers it is not.

Do you know something about Harald? possibly it is another brother.

No, he isn't his brother, that I know.

Evald Gunnius had got four children: a daughter, who was married to Dmitri Krestovozdivzhenski and three sons:
Arthur Robert Emanuel, * 1864 + 1888 in Moscow. He was an lieutnant of the 12. Astrachanskij polk.
Konstantin Leonhard, * 1869 + 1900-1910.
Nikolaj, *1877 + unkown. He was in 5. Gorzdinsky polk of OKPS.

Ohh.. Ok. I thought that Lonhard is a middle name - the name of father, bu it seems to me know it is a part of a complex given name.

Did he live in Leningrad (Petrograd/St. Petersburg) after 1917? I have a record of Vozdvizhensky Nikolay, livin in 1917 in Petrograd
He was a member of Communistic Party with personal number #754350.

Oh sorry. Yes it is the complex given name.

So I try an inquiry to the RGWIA again. Or do you know someone, who would be looking for me at the RGWIA?
