Searching family in Briansk oblast

I didn't expect much from that. So I'm trying on the Острог (город) area (Ukraine), because I only have bits of information that are not really confirmed.

We surely can help you understand the details of the past administrative divisions which are a great problem even for us. But what we definitely need is more details - born where, when? family member, documents etc.

A great source for immigrants to the US are ship records, with Europe is more difficult, so each tiny thing can help.

For ex., what confession? Henin sounds for me rather Jewish, am I wrong? all the records at that time were in church books, so we have to understand, were it orthodox, catholoc or other churches, where we have to search.
