7 сентября 2017 0:18 Hello,
I am trying to trace my grandfather's family tree. His Is not my blood relative as he married my grandmother when my mother was very young, but he is the grandfather that my mother and I knew and grew up with.
His details on his identity papers when he came to Australia were:
Name: Peter Hudjakow (this could be an Americanised spelling of his name) DOB: 30th December, 1922 Arhangelsk, USSR Nationality: Russian Occupation: Mechanic Father's name: Iwan Mother's maiden name: Marfa Truhina
I am looking for Ivan Hudyakov and Marfa Hudyakova (maiden name: Truhina) in metric books (book of birth registration), revision lists, list of confessors and other sources about Arkhangelsk people and parents too, who is looking his/her ancestors.
The only other information I have was that they lived near the White Sea, his father was a hunter for furs and he had four brothers. At the time that he was drafted to the war, age 18 (approx. 1940) his mother was pregnant.
Is anybody able to help with this?
Thanks Deb
