I am researching on behalf of a friend who is trying to trace her Russian grandfather. His name was d born in 1872 in St Petersburg. He eventually settled in the UK but it is unknown whether he came via the USA or Germany into the east coast of England, presumably Hull or Grimsby. Nothing is known of his life in Russia including his parents or any siblings. Any help or information would be gratefully received.
