HELLO, looking for any information about my uncle:
YOSEF/JOSEF (called YOSSI) WAISBLIT (VAJSBLIT / wejsblit). Was born (1926) in Shumsk (Poland then and Ukraine now).
The son of SHIYA (JOSHUA) HERSH (or HIRSH) and MANYE (MIRIAM) WAISBLIT.
In August 1942 almost all of the Jews of Shumsk were massacred�but Yossi escaped from Shumsk.
Yossi wrote a letter from the Soviet Union in 1952 . It was the one and only letter we ever got from him and we never could find him. In that letter he said he is an officer in the red army and that he was sent to a military school. Yossi also wrote people call him YOSIF ISAYEV (Yosef the son of Shaya.)
Please help us solve this mistery...
