Old Letter in Handwritten Russian

I appreciate the help so far (reading along on the other thread).

I'll try to answer some questions: The writing is on the back of a photo of a solider in uniform.

I believe it was taken in Warsaw because I know the solider was stationed there and the top of the postcard is in Polish. Since Warsaw fell early in the war, it is likely from 1914.

It was later glued to another surface which is where much of the damage comes from.

The photo was restored about a decade ago. I'm unsure if the writing on the back was also restored with it.

It's pretty badly damaged (many words are missing) and the penmanship isn't great.I asked a local Russian speaker to translate it and she managed to decipher a few words but not enough to get an understanding of what the letter was about.Anyone here want to take a shot at it? Those of you used to working with older documents may have more luck.
