1. the advice to write to the German camp for more information about your ancestor
2. I can translate the story you could tell everywhere - on Odnoklassniki, on FB etc.

That's the point! There lots of pecularities here in Russia and Ukraine. And the best thing (from my point of view) is you describe the problem - and we give advices. OR you can search as you want, but then our ideas don't have sense, because we maybe would do it in a totally different way. Do you get my point? When you ask "How can I find the church books of Slobidka?" We would ask you "What Slobidka? Why Slobidka?" You should post here the things one can rely on - for ex., death certificate or letters with some addresses, and then somebody here (or we all) could consider where to search.

Is there a joke in English when somebody is searching something in the street under the landern. One asks him: what are you doing? He says: I've lost my keys. - Here? - No. - Then why are you searching here? - There is more light here. — I can't give you an advice how to search under the lantern. I have to know, where exactly you lost your keys, only then I can think if I can help you or not.

Anther exampl. I look for a place called Slobidka. I search and find there is more than one.When the name is written in Ukrainian it does not translate the same in English. This is where my wrong information comes from, not that I do not listen.
