I am searching for my great grandmother's family. Her name was Elisabeth
WILLE born April 8, 1852 in Prussia. I think she was on the Ship Vandalia
leaving Hamburg on May 4, 1872. With her were Heinrich, Dora (old enough
to be her parents and Fr and Wilhe(age of siblings as born in 1860's).
Elisabeth went to Chicago, IL and married on September 27, 1872, my great
grandfather, Chas. MEYER (real name was Johan Heinrich Carl Meyer) born
December 31, 1872 from Eldena, Mecklenburg. He also was on the Ship
Vandelia. They settled in Clayton County, Iowa IN 1874. If you have any
WILLE's in your family or know something about the WILLE family, please
contact me. Thank you, Marlene, Sioux Falls, SD, USA.
