You can find this surname among Noble families of Podolska Gubernia - MAGEROVSKY - page 272 - 6-th book - old nobility - I believe you should apply to Russian state Historical archive in st Petersburg (also some short information you can get in Libraries - www.shpl.ru
(Сообщение отредактировал Regulus 12 июля 2004 10:29)
I am very interested in the history of the family MAGEROVSKY, dating back
to the15th century in the Polish town of Magerov (Magierow), present
Ukraine. I am interested in everything from 1444 on, when our family
first acquired its coat of arms known as SZELIGA. Later, around the
1790's, they moved to Kamenec-Podol'sk, Russia, where they acquired the
Russian dvorianstvo, and thence, around the 1860's to Odessa. You can
respond in English, Russian, German or Czech. All information will be
greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, ELM
elmagerov@juno.com
