I am looking for information on the Russian sir name of BOGOROD. The family that I know with this sir name currently lives in the Urals / Ekaterinburg area. They say they come from St. Petersburg originaly. I just want to find a family history as to where this family name hails from. I know its not a true Russian last name. Unless I'm mistaken.
