The problem may be with Genotek, as the same DNA files worked fine with other websites such as MyHeritage DNA upload.
[/q]

Additions:
- No reply yet from Genotek as to why uploads of DNA datasets fail, nor why their website is not allowing new accounts to be created (the confirmation code via e-mail is not being sent out)
- Be cautious with MyHeritage. After creating new free account and uploading data, attempting to log in again gives repeated error message that "Access has been temporarily disabled. Your access has been temporarily disabled due to irregular activity. Please try again in 24 hours."
- FamilyTreeDNA appears to work fine. Can upload data and get relative matches within a few hours.
Have you ever done before? Have you heard of 3rd party tools such as G25 coordinates?
If you live outside of Russia, you can upload your raw DNA to genotek.eu (not the .ru version because it won't allow you to open it).

[/q]

Hello FuranNietchaieff

There is a Russian laboratory called Genotek.

If you are of Polish descent, I strongly suggest you consider getting tested on AncestryDNA or 23andMe. They both have a large number of Polish testers in their databases.

I would not recommend MyHeritage for a serious pursuit of unknown origins in your family tree. Their algorithms are bit unclear even in the newest version (v2.5), released just recently.
AncestryDNA has over 700,000 SNPs (approximately equivalent to FTDNA), 23andMe has 500,000 SNPs in their genotypes, and it is clear that the more SNPs, the more accurate the results.

AncestryDNA and MyHeritage don't provide Y-DNA and mtDNA haplogroups, which is different from 23andMe and Genotek as they do.
[/q]

Quite interesting ! You make me think again about my choice. My origine come from Polish, Belarus and West Russia.
