Polonevs from Harbin - heirs of the Chistayakov Tea Factory

Standing: Me, Rumyanstev Anna, Madame Rumyantseva, Madame Polovneva (Rumyanstev�s sister). On the edge is my brother�s wife sitting.You probably remember the Polovnevs from Harbin � the heirs of the Chistyakov Tea Factory. The Reds took Polovnyova�s husband to Russia by force and he died there. She came here from Harbin recently - completely grey although she is only a bit older than thirty. This provides an example of why so many Russians fled to Harbin. Sadly so many were forced back and killed.

Sorry I was wrong. Paul Kimin did not spend anytime in Shanghai, Harbin but rather Germany. So it is not him in the photograph.

Hi

It probably will not suprise you to know have already closely examined most of these photographs (I need to get a life!)

In photograpgh one, the man on the very far left of the image looks very much like Paul Kimin, an artist (painter) who I can tell you quiet a bit of information about. He and one other are the only two that look relatively young.

In the first photograph of the second row (I haven't seen this image before) I am delighted to see Vladimir seated second from the left. I would love to know where that photograph was taken or whom the group are.

In the third row the second last picture do you think that is Nina Panchenko (I need to memorise her married surname) seated fourth from the right side of the image? I contacted her mother years ago online but sadly she did not wish to correspond. I was rather saddened by that.

So many familiar faces but I do not know who they are. Sadly Nina appears in none. There are slight possibilities but they are not worthy of consideration.

Thank you for bringing these to my attention. It is very pleasing to see Valdimir.
