congratulations with first positive results on the platform!

I would support OlgaKob's point thta it is much more productive to ask a specialist who does some research in Orel archive to make general inquiries on The Gorohovs. then you could decide how deep you want to search.

It may cost some money but will defenitely bring much more result.

Hi! Unfortunately, my genealogy region is not Oryol, but on the forum there are (of course, in Russian) sections dedicated to particular archives. Just above the green field, there is a notification saying who of the forum users offers their help at the archive (in Russian: � �� )

The Oryol one -
Currently it shows this user's offer at the Oryol archive:
Her name is Ekaterina.

Also. this thread: (Entitled: Need help at the Oryol archive). Maybe you can make a post there in English.
I wish I could help, but I live too far from the place and have as much access as you do.
As for the communication with the archive. I've found this additional email on their website: gaoo-orel@yandex.ru.
It's on Yandex. Maybe it will help. I don't know if Yandex is banned in Europe. The official email (orel_arch@orel-region.ru) is corpotate and maybe this is why there's a problem with getting through from abroad. Or maybe there's a way to find a middleman on this forum who'll help you with the archive.

Here's what I found.
On the Russian WWI database
there're quite a few of Gorohovs form Glazunovka hamlet (derevnya) Staro-polevskaya volost (��-�� ) Oryol District (Oryol governorate). The center of the volost was the estate (seltso) of Staroye pole, shared by a few landlords.
The historical division of the Oryol region:

Possibly, this is your locality.
Staropolevo (��) is a hamlet (derevnya) in the Glazunovo district of Oryol oblast. The alternative name is seltso Storozhevo (�� ).

Glazunovka (��) is a borough (posyolok gorogskogo typa) in Oryol oblast, the center of a district. The borough was named Glazunovka after the hamlet nearby in 1904.

Oryol district villages and parishes guide:

I've found only one metric book from 1871 of Storozhevo Oryol district: Oryol archive fonds 220 series 2 file 2063 (�� 220 �� 2 �� 2063 �� -�� . �� ).

The fonds 760 series 1 (census lists aka revizskiye skazki) doesn't seem to have any reference to Glazunovo of the Oryol district. It only has censuses of the Storozhevo (Staropolye) for year 1858 (10th census) - file # 962
There's also mention of a landlord named Glazunov. but from the Maloarhangelsk district. file # 559

Also, nearby Glazunovka there's the village of Staroye Gorohovo, to take into consideration.

It is a document from the fonds # 760 called "The collection of census lists (revizskiye skazki) of the tax-paying residents (�� ) of the Oryol governorate"
The reference is fonds 760 series 1 file/item # 563 leaf 22 verso (the Russian archives use leaves not pages)

The file 563 is entitled "Tax liability statements on the number of burghers (meschanye) and household serfs of the town of Mzensk, odnodvortsy, serfs of odnodvortsy and gentry, state peasants, free farmers, household serfs of the Mzensk district for 1858 (i.e. 10th census).
Gorohov Ivan Sergeevich is a landlord of the village called "Sofonovo, aka Hryapino boloto, aka Optuha", collegiate assessor
It says he owned 63 male serf peasants and 5 household bonded serfs (dvorovye).

There are many people sharing the same last name. I reckon this person is hardly in relation with your Gorohov family.

Um Informationen über Ihre Verwandten zu erhalten, müssen Sie einen Antrag an das örtliche Archiv einreichen , aber ein wenig verärgert Sie, das Archiv ist jetzt überlastet und seit März nicht akzeptieren, genealogische und thematische Anfragen für eine Gebühr, schreiben sie, dass bis zum vierten Quartal dieses Jahres (das heißt, nicht bis Oktober) wieder aufnehmen wird.
