I am posting this message with hopes of finding other families researching the surname KLEMENTZ or KLEMENT. My great grandfather's name was Anthony Klementz and my greatgrandmother was Mary Klementz. In the USA the name was changed to Clement. They came from Russian but from exactly where I am not sure. I was told that the name KLEMENTZ is White Russian. Would that mean they were from Belarus? I know that is what Blarus means: White Russian.

Does anyone know if what I have said is true? And I would like to connect with other KLEMENTZ or KLEMENT families. My ancestors came to Lawrence, Massachusetts around 1906. I have not found their passenger records yet. This name has proven to be a hard nut to crack of all my surnames! Please help me if you can

Thank you!
