I am looking for information on my Grandfather's Family from Sakovichi, Grodno, Belarus - Near Slonim.

Surname: Chilko / Khilko / Khilko / Khilko

My Grandfather:
Pawel Chilko

D.OB 29 July 1921
Born in Sakowice, Slonim, Poland (Now Sakovichi Village, Grodno, Belarus - Near Slonim)
Attended Primary School in Sakowice 1929 - 1934
1934 - 1944 Worked as a farmworker “at home” in Sakowice
Deported to Germany in 1944
*** missing information*** Not sure if he was a POW or Civilian Forced Laborer?
Approx Years: 1946 to 1949 – Worked in Labor Service Companies 2040, 4047 and 4101
Immigrated to Australia 1949 – Departed from Naples, Italy on General Blatchford

Aleksander/Alexander Chilko
Pawel's Brother

Unknown Date of Birth – possibly 1923 in Sakovichi as well
Pawel said Aleks was accused of blowing up a railway and taken by the Germans and he didn't know what happened to him.
? maybe a member of The Partisans?

Zachary Chilko
Pawel's Father

Alternative Spelling:
Zaharijusz Chilko (from Pawel's Post War Card from the Arolsen Archives)
Zakhary Khilko (Russian / Belarusian Spelling)
DOB 30 January 1889 (according to Pawel's diary)
Served in WWI. Died of complications from something related to the war after the kids were born.
? Maybe exposure to chemical weapons?

Nadza Jadzia Ochlorowic (from Pawel's Australian Marriage Certificate)
Pawel's Mother
Alternative Spellings:
Nadzieja Ocholowicz (from Pawel's Post War Card from the Arolsen Archives)
Nadznaga Ochnalwecz (from my Aunty who is unsure where she saw/found this spelling)
Nadezhda Olkorovich / Olkhorvich (Russian / Belarusian Spelling)
DOB 22 May 1885 (according to Pawel's Diary)
We think Pawel mentioned returning home after the war and mum wasn't there.
Pawel also mentioned that his hometown/village was flattened to the ground after the war which suggests he may have actually gone home to find mum.

I would be grateful if anyone could help me locate any information on my family. It's very difficult with the languages and also living in Australia.

Thank you 101.gif

Thank you. But I don't think it's our Alexander... Ours would be Alexander Zakharovich Khilko. Going off his father's name.
